Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, and the Law: An Introduction to Lex Cryptographia

This session will provide an introduction and overview to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The session will explore issues around privacy, property rights, economic uses, regulation, governance, and jurisdictions around cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. We will also explore the emerging blockchain context of “lex cryptographia” or a system of rules where autonomous, decentralized code — rather than legislators or judges — determine the outcome of given interactions and disputes.
