About
The Common Law Bar Association is an association of over 100
barristers who practise in common law matters at the Victorian
Bar. Its members practise predominantly, but by no means exclusively,
in personal injury claims of one sort or another.
A large majority of those matters are common law claims for
medical negligence, or arising out of transport accidents, or
arising out of work accidents, as well as public liability claims.
All members of the Bar who practise in the area of common law
are welcome to join the Association. The annual membership fee
is $25.
The Association meets on an informal, ad hoc basis. Committee
meetings are held on an approximate three monthly basis, more
frequently if any particularly issue arises which warrants consideration.
