Alison manages the regulatory and compliance requirements for barristers, including coordinating the functions of the Ethics Committee, such as Rulings and Dispensations and the investigation of complaints referred by the Legal Services Commissioner, and the issue of Practising Certificates as delegated by the Legal Services Board. Alison also coordinates membership matters including applications to sign the Roll of Counsel (other than for Readers), transfers between divisions, applications for special leave and barrister’s requests to remove their names from the Roll of Counsel. |
