In a career of over twenty years at the Bar, Ross Ray has practised in common law, criminal law and occupational health & safety. He has appeared in many significant criminal trials including many murder trials. He is a leading practitioner in the field of occupational health & safety and represented the first company charged with manslaughter arising out of a workplace death, the companies charged after the Coode Island fire and companies charged in relation to coastal oil spills and pollution and appeared in the ambulance Royal Commission. He also frequently appears in the Coroners Court and Medical Practice Board. Ross is a member of the Bar Council, and is the Chairman of the Readers Course Committee.
