Adam Craig is a commercially minded barrister specialising in wills, trusts, equity, and tax.
Adam focuses on finding pragmatic solutions to disputes. He aims to bring a sense of calm to litigation, particularly in disputes involving complex personal relationships.
Before coming to the Bar, Adam developed expertise in the taxation of private groups, particularly trusts. He provided counsel on the commercial and tax aspects of some of Australia’s most significant transactions, tax policies, and legislative projects.
Adam’s background in tax matters involving trusts, commercial law, and succession planning prepared him well for practice in wills, trusts, and equity.
His broad expertise, empathy, and communication skills enable him to discern precise and forward‑looking legal solutions.
Adam accepts briefs to advise, draw court documents, and appear in proceedings involving:
- caveats / contested probate;
- further provision from estates (family provision / Testators Family Maintenance / TFM);
- the construction or rectification of wills and trust deeds;
- equitable interests in real property, caveats, and co-ownership;
- conflicts of interest and breaches of duties by executors, trustees, and directors of companies;
- shareholder oppression;
- family law disputes involving complex structures, equitable claims, and tax issues;
- the taxation of deceased estates and private and family group transactions (trusts, private companies, partnerships);
