Charlie accepts briefs in all areas of common law, as well as general commercial and administrative law matters.
Charlie has experience acting in a wide range of civil matters covering personal injuries (including psychiatric injuries), institutional abuse, professional indemnity, public liability and workers compensation claims.
In addition to his trial practice, Charlie regularly appears on behalf of clients at mediations and settlement conferences.

Charlie also presents seminars and lectures on a variety of legal topics for the Leo Cussen Centre for Law, BenchTV and law firms, and in 2021 developed an advocacy course for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Afghanistan.
Before coming to the Bar, Charlie was a Senior Associate at Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers within the Insurance Group. Prior to that, Charlie was Senior Associate to Justice Incerti of the Supreme Court of Victoria within the Common Law Division and a solicitor at Hunt & Hunt Lawyers.
Charlie maintains an active pro bono practice and is a member of the Victorian Bar Pro Bono Committee. He has been a volunteer with Springvale Monash Legal Service since 2010, providing assistance to clients on a range of legal matters, including administrative, consumer and local government matters, as well as mentoring and training legal volunteers. In recognition of his ongoing commitment to SMLS, he was the recipient of the 2018 John O’Sullivan Volunteer Award.
