Viola has established a wide-ranging practice since coming to the Bar.
Viola appears in criminal law matters (includes traffic), civil law matters (includes ‘crash and bash’ cases, liquor licensing and disciplinary tribunals) and family law matters. Viola has also appeared at the Coroners Court, her background of being a Coroner’s Assistant before coming to the bar provides her with additional experience.
As well as the above cases, Viola is also on the Work Cover Panel and appears in Personal Injury matters as well drafting Interrogatories.
Viola’s background of being a policewoman, as well as being a police prosecutor for almost nine years makes her an exceptional advocate. Viola is able to be flexible, appearing in a wide range of matters and is also able to look at cases from a different angle, compared to most.
In addition to the above, Viola is interested in Sports Law. Viola attended at the AFL tribunal in September 2012, being present during the Brent Harvey hearing and being included in the conference between Sam Horgan SC, Brent Harvey and the management of the North Melbourne Football club.
