Rodney practices in Criminal, Administrative and Public Law (including local government and judicial review) with extensive experience in professional disciplinary matters including appearing as Counsel Assisting in Disciplinary Panel hearings. He also has experience in Commercial and Civil contested matters including employment and indiustrial relations.
Rodney practices in Victoria and Queensland and appears in those State Courts and also appears in tribunals including the AAT, VCAT, (Review and Regulation List), QCAT and the Fair Work Tribunal where he represents in conferences, mediations and contested hearings.
Rodney completed a Master of Laws at Melbourne University (Nov. 2009) principally in Litigation, Evidence and Legal Remedies, where he wrote papers on Medical Negligence (H2A) and Expert Evidence (H2A). Rodney Studied at Sydney and LaTrobe Universities and was admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Laws with Honours (H2A), where he wrote his thesis on Commonwealth/State Industrial Relations Conflicts.
Before coming to the Bar Rodney practiced as a Solicitor and he also has extensive Commercial Business Experience with well respected listed International Corporations. Rodney brings to his practice a wealth of commercial experience in all areas of business-related legal matters: Taxation; Industrial Relations and Employment Law; Property and Retail leasing/tenancies; Contracts; Sale of Business; Franchising; Occupational Health and Safety; WorkCover and Work-related injuries.
Rodney also has an extensive academic teaching background and mentors undergraduates as well as graduate law students. He is currently a Lecturer at the College of Law where he has for the past 7 years taught Advocacy and teaches into the full time and part time practical legal traning courses. He previously lectured at Victoria University and RMIT University in the Law of Evidence.
